Cancer effects: Oral exposure through lipsticks and lip balms, dermal exposure through body creams, permanent hair dyes, spray perfumes and face paints

Order to add to Schedule 1 of CEPA Risk Management Scope proposal to prohibit or restrict dermal and oral exposure to Solvent Violet 13 from use of cosmetics based on harm to humans. Exposure in topical NHPs was not identified as a concern. Future initiatives to track commercial status and new uses of Solvent Violet 59, Solvent Blue 36, Disperse Red 60, Acid Blue 239 and CAS RN 74499-36-8 could be considered.
