Monday, August 18, 2025 (Mississauga, ON) — Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP) is pleased to announce that Peter Luik, President of Dare Foods Canada, will be presented with its 2025 Award of Distinction at the CEO & Executive Leadership Conference, October 16–17, 2025, at White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
Peter has led Dare Foods for more than a decade, steering one of Canada’s most iconic food companies through a period of sustained growth, innovation, and lasting community impact. Under his leadership, Dare has invested in world-class manufacturing here at home, taken bold steps to strengthen ethical sourcing through its 2024 Modern Slavery Report, and stepped up for local communities during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
His contributions go well beyond Dare Foods. As Chair of FHCP’s Manufacturing Management Committee, Peter has championed Canadian manufacturing and pushed for the investments, policies, and partnerships needed to keep it competitive on the world stage.
“Peter is the kind of leader who combines business vision with a real sense of responsibility to people—whether they’re his employees, his community, or the broader industry,” said Michael Graydon, CEO of FHCP. “From modernizing manufacturing to strengthening supply chains and advocating for our sector’s future, his work has had a lasting impact. This award is our way of recognizing not just what he has achieved, but how he has achieved it—with integrity, determination, and a commitment to doing what’s right.”
The Award of Distinction, first presented in 2010, honours individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to Canada’s food, health, and consumer products manufacturing sector. Past recipients include Carol Stewart (2019), Jamie Moody and Margaret Hudson (2022), Dino Bianco (2023), and Elizabeth (Liz) Beemer (2024).
