FCPC sends letter to Minister Filomena Tassi regarding the Port of Montreal strike
Created on 8/20/2020 5:13:05 PM

Mississauga, Ontario (August 20, 2020)  Today, FCPC sent a letter to the Honorable Filomena Tassi, federal Minister of Labour, expressing our deep concerned about the significant impact of the ongoing strike action at the Port of Montreal on our businesses, our over 350,000 employees, and our ability to supply the essential products that Canadians rely on every day.

The letter calls on the federal government to facilitate a resolution to get the Port of Montreal operating again and, until a resolution is in place, urges the government to take immediate emergency action to help clear the stranded cargo to ensure there remains a stable supply of essential products for Canadians.
