Lyndsay Barnes
VP, Supply Chain, Mars Wrigley c/o Mars Canada Inc

Lyndsay Barnes brings more than 18 years of consumer-packaged goods experience to her role of Vice President Supply Chain for Mars Canada. Lyndsay joined Mars in 2021 with the objective to accelerate supply recovery and evolve the supply chain strategies across the Mars Wrigley, Pet Nutrition and Food businesses. She has a proven tracker record of delivering sustained results, building high-performing teams, and implementing future-focused programs aligned with internal and external partners.

Prior to joining Mars, Lyndsay held various Supply Chain roles during her 15 years with General Mills Canada Corp. She curated her career gaining broad experience across the disciplines of supply chain. Her experience, creative thinking, and strong partnerships have allowed her to deliver supply chain programs in the areas of collaborative forecasting, efficient replenishment, logistic network strategies, and manufacturing efficiencies.

In her personal life, Lyndsay is a mother of three and is an advocate for Equity, Inclusion and Diversity. She holds a Specialized Honours Degree in Linguistics and Language Studies from the University of York at Glendon.

 

André-Alexandre Carter
Executive Director, Operations and Engagement Eastern Canada, National Supply Chain Office, Government of Canada

André-Alexandre is Executive Director within Transport Canada's National Supply Chain Office, responsible for engagement and operations for the Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic regions. André-Alexandre began his career at Transport Canada in 2002, working primarily in areas related to transportation policy, supply chains and transportation infrastructure programs. After 7 years with the Treasury Board Secretariat, he was appointed Senior Director at Transport Canada in May 2022 to lead work on the supply chain file and provide strategic support to the National Supply Chain Task Force.

In his spare time, André-Alexandre volunteers his time to organize ski and bike races, two sports in which his children are competitively involved.
 

Errol Cerit
Executive Vice President, Industry, Public Affairs & Membership Development, Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada

Errol is the Executive Vice President of Food, Health & Consumer Products of Canada (FHCP) the national trade association representing Canada’s food, health, and consumer goods manufacturers. 

Errol has been with FHCP for 10 years and currently leads FHCP’s Industry , Public Affairs and Membership Development efforts, focusing on providing members with critical insights on the Canadian grocery trade environment and working with members on industry initiatives that enable companies to reduce costs and improve service to their customers.  

Prior to joining FHCP, Errol spent 13 years at Loblaw in various progressive roles in Engineering, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Retail Operations. Errol also worked for Bombardier’s Aerospace division, and led a boutique consulting firm focusing on distribution and network efficiencies. 

Errol is a professional engineer and has an Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Toronto. 

 

Kevin Dewalt
CEO, Prolego

Kevin is passionate about the potential for AI to completely change the business landscape. His mission is to help companies use AI to realize their true value. In 2017, Kevin co-founded Prolego because although the promise of AI is huge, one major barrier hold most companies back; the belief that transformations start in the engineering department. In reality, transformations start in the C-Suite.

As such, Kevin has supported executive leadership teams at a diverse range of companies with their AI transformation efforts, including Bosch, Raytheon, Cox Enterprises, T. Rowe Price, Lockheed Martin, Transamerica, Protective Life, FINRA et al.

Kevin's work touches every aspect of generating business value with AI, from stateof- the-art deep learning techniques to boardlevel strategies for $100M multi-year investments. Prior to co-founding Prolego, Kevin enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career as a technology innovator, entrepreneur, and investor. At In-Q-Tel, the investing arm of the US intelligence community, and at the National Science Foundation, he helped make over 50 venture capital investments.

Additionally, Kevin was an early strategic investor in Palantir, where he helped founder Stephen Cohen to deploy the company's first AI product in the US intelligence community. Kevin graduated number one in his US Coast Guard Academy class with a degree in electrical engineering. His expertise in AI began at Stanford University where he earned his Master’s Degree and completed original research under AI legend Dr. Bernard Widrow.

 

Stéphane Grenier
Lieutenant-Colonel (Retired), Canadian Forces, Mental Health Innovator, CEO, MHInnovations

With decades of first-hand experience, Stéphane Grenier is a pioneer in addressing mental health in the workplace. After a remarkable 30-year military career, with service in Lebanon, Haiti, Kuwait, Rwanda, Cambodia, and Kandahar, Afghanistan, he founded Mental Health Innovations (MHI), a consultancy dedicated to provoking game-changing action to address mental health at work. He has since worked with organizations across all sectors to transform their corporate culture to ensure a healthier and more productive workplace.

Grenier doesn’t just talk the talk; he walks the walk. As the CEO of MHI, he exclusively employs individuals who have grappled with mental health issues. This, combined with his own mental health struggles that brought him perilously close to the brink of suicide, has imbued him with a profound understanding of this prevalent issue in our society. His insights are deeply personal and profoundly transformative.

Throughout his extensive career, Grenier has worked closely with a variety of organizations across industries to equip them with innovative, "outside-the-box" solutions that challenge the status quo. He is also the architect of national guidelines for peer support, which have set new standards for compassionate care and support. As testaments to his extraordinary contributions to the mental health landscape, Grenier has been honoured with the Order of Canada and bestowed with two honorary Doctor of Laws degrees.

Grenier’s work transcends the clinical realm. He advocates for a culture of compassion and support, enriching the lives of individuals from all walks of life. His memoir, After the War: Surviving PTSD and Changing Mental Health Culture, narrates his riveting journey from the Rwandan genocide to reshaping workplace culture to prioritize mental health, with a special emphasis on rehumanizing the recovery process. 

Arman Mirza
Director, Pro Experience, The Home Depot Canada

Arman Mirza is a supply chain professional with over 20 years experience in project delivery, operations, and strategy. He is currently the Director of Pro Experience at The Home Depot Canada, developing capabilities that make it easier for pros to do their job. Before moving into the Pro business, Arman spent 11 years in the Home Depot supply chain leading projects that built out a national distribution network for stores and customers. He lead the Supply Chain Capacity & Operations Planning function through the COVID-19 pandemic, flexing capacity and introducing a greater degree of agility into the supply chain.

Prior to joining The Home Depot, Arman spent 6 years in the Loblaw Companies supply chain, leading non-food replenishment and later becoming a domain project lead for the company’s SAP retail implementation. Prior to that, he spent 5 years in Accenture’s retail consulting practice, working on projects in strategy, procurement, and systems integration for Canadian, US, and international clients.

Arman holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and lives in Toronto.

 

Anna Petrova
Former Vice President, Global Supply Chain,

Anna is a global operations and supply chain executive, who leads end-to-end Supply Chains and has worked for global CPG companies in Western Europe and North America. She is an expert in transformation and modernization of mature supply chains, digital transformation, greenfield site operational startups, M&A integrations, and divestitures.

Most recently as a Vice President Global Supply Chain at Kraft Heinz, she led deployment of manufacturing excellence programs, digital, cost leadership and integrated customer strategies in the regions.

Prior to this role and since 2003, Anna led Ferrero and Conagra Supply Chains in Canada, and Kraft Heinz Operations for Canada and North American Coffee, with focus on profitable growth, value creation, productivity extraction and excellence in execution.

Anna is a firm believer in strategic role of Operations as a competitive advantage of every business. She is passionate about building resilient and high-performance teams, with diversity of thought and strong sense of purpose as One Team.

 

Alain Sawaya
Partner, Advisory Services, National Supply Chain and Procurement Lead, Canada, KPMG MSLP

Alain is a Partner and the National Leader for KPMG Canada’s Supply Chain and Procurement services. He has more than 30 years of experience in Executive roles in Industry and Consulting roles. Before joining KPMG, Alain was Vice-President of Commercial Merchandising Management at a Canada’s largest home improvement distributor and retailer. Prior to that, Alain built much of his experience internationally in various industries, namely, consumer goods, manufacturing, and distribution, leading strategic and operational business transformation initiatives at more than one hundred clients worldwide. His experience in Demand, Supply and inventory planning, S&OP, Integrated Business Planning, Inventory Procurement, Order Management, Inventory Allocation, Inventory Planning and Analytics, provide him with the experience and tenure to ensure success with various types of transformations and strategic and operational initiatives.

 

 

Jacob Shapiro
Partner and Director of Geopolitical Analysis , Cognitive Investments

Jacob Shapiro is a speaker, consultant, author, and researcher covering global politics and affairs, economics, markets, technology, history, and culture. He speaks to audiences of all sizes around the world, helps global multinationals make strategic decisions about political risks and opportunities, and works directly with investors to grow and protect their assets in today's volatile global environment. He is a partner and the director of geopolitical analysis at Cognitive Investments, a registered investment adviser offering wealth management services to individuals, family offices, and institutional investors. Jacob hosts the podcast series "Cognitive Dissidents," which features interviews with subject matter experts in geopolitics, technology, markets, agriculture, economics, and other fields. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and daughter. 

Laure Velten-Jameson
Vice President, National Grocery Replenishment, Sobeys Inc.

Laure Velten-Jameson is the Vice President of National Grocery Replenishment for Sobeys Inc. As a member of the supply chain team, she is responsible for developing and executing the national grocery forecasting and replenishment strategy for all Sobeys Inc. banners.

Prior to joining Sobeys, over her 15-year career journey, Laure held various roles in retail and consulting roles across France and Canada. After five years in merchandising for Carrefour France, she joined the Boston Consulting Group in Montreal and became a leader in their Retail and Consumer Goods practice area, leveraging her retail experience throughout her engagements supporting Canadian retail and consumer good clients to drive top and bottom-line growth. Laure then returned to retail by joining Lowes Canada as a merchandising director, expanding her breadth of expertise to home improvement retail. She joined Sobeys in 2022 as Chief of Staff to the COO, where she supported the COO and his leadership team in defining and advancing the company’s strategy across its Full Service, Community, Discount, e-commerce banners, and Related Businesses.

Ms. Velten-Jameson holds a Masters Degree from HEC Paris and is an MBA graduate from INSEAD.
