10:50 AM - 11:20 AM | Networking Break sponsored by:

11:20 AM - 12:00 PM | Multicultural & New Canadian Insights: What Sales & Marketing Professionals Need to Know to Win in Canada’s Changing Landscape

Speaker:

Without Canada’s recent record population growth— driven almost completely by immigration— brands and retailers would be facing a net decline in sales, making winning with Canada’s diverse ethnic populations a top priority for brand and retail executives alike. However, Sales and Marketing professionals can’t rely on decades-old strategies to win with today’s Multicultural and New Canadian consumers.

In this session, Numerator Canada’s General Manager, Sean Martin, will walk through key principles from a comprehensive study of new and less recent Canadian immigrants. He will analyze the sentiment, attitudes, and, for the first time, their verified purchase behaviour as whole and broken out by key ethnicities to identify how these consumers are changing the Canadian marketplace and provide actionable strategies for Sales and Marketing professionals to incorporate in their business planning.

12:00 PM - 12:45 PM |
Unlocking Better Mental Health: The Leadership Blueprint

Speaker:

Prioritizing mental health in the workplace is paramount in fostering a healthy and thriving professional environment, especially considering that 70% of employees are concerned about workplace stress and psychological safety at work. Additionally, only 23% of Canadian workers feel comfortable talking to their employer about a psychological health issue. These statistics highlight the pressing need for leaders to learn more and act on mental health in the workplace.

Join Stéphane Grenier, a trailblazing figure in workplace mental health, as he draws from his 30-year military career and dedication to reshaping corporate cultures, underscored by personal struggles and the exclusive employment of those with mental health experiences. It promises to be a compelling exploration of fostering compassion and innovation within the workplace.

12:45 PM - 1:45 PM |
Networking Lunch

1:45 PM - 2:15 PM | Economic Update

Speaker:

The U.S. and Canadian economies have defied calls for a recession last year. The American economy is leaving its peers in its dust, but inflation has picked up again, pushing interest rates cuts further out on the horizon. Meanwhile, Canadian inflation has cooled and interest rate cuts appear to be right around the corner. What does this mean for Canada's economy going forward? Interest rates? Or the Canadian dollar? Leslie Preston, Managing Director & Senior Economist at TD Bank, will share her assessment of the situation and outlook for the period ahead.

His insights are deeply personal and profoundly transformative.

Throughout his extensive career, Grenier has worked closely with a variety of organizations across industries to equip them with innovative, "outside-the-box" solutions that challenge the status quo.
