AGENDA

8:00 AM - 9:00 AM | Registration Open & Buffet Breakfast

9:00 AM – 9:10 AM | Opening Remarks

9:10 AM – 9:50 AM | The Art of Personal Energy Management:
Instead of Changing Your Conditions, Change Your Energy
Speaker:

What if I told you that learning to manage and channel your energy is the single most powerful tool you can master?

Energy management is life changing. A team can have the best intentions but if individuals are lacking personal energy/capacity, it's unlikely they'll hit company-wide goals. Jill trains our bodies and minds to unleash energy for optimal performance in all areas: creating impact at work, maintaining healthy relationships, eliminating anxiety and manifesting opportunities. More energy means more capacity, confidence, and steadiness to meet the demands of our daily lives and achieve compelling goals.

9:50 AM - 10:20 AM | What Canadians Think About What the Food Industry is Doing

The delicate balance between digital information brokerage and privacy is under increasing scrutiny. Dr. Sylvain Charlebois shares interesting new survey data on consumers' perceptions about the usage of personal data and their perception and use of printed and digital flyers.

10:45 AM - 11:45 AM | The 3 Extremes of Retail: Convergent or Divergent

Speaker:

For the best part of 5 years we have experienced volatility and disruption in the retail industry. Consumer demands may have changed, but they are no less demanding. As leaders of the industry we have the challenge of dealing with uncertainty and managing seemingly divergent forces.

How do we deliver the brand experience that our consumers and shoppers demand? What does execution mean in an ever-changing retail landscape? Why is efficiency the biggest challenge of the day?

Global perspectives, a brief history of retail time and compelling solutions hint to what is to come and how we should respond.

1:15 PM - 2:00 PM |  The New Economic Divide - The State of the Canadian Consumer

Speaker:

As the dust settles on the pandemic-related pressures of the past two years, consumers have landed in a divergent economic reality. There is a new, and widening, economic divide across consumer circumstances, mindsets, and priorities. Without question, this chasm between consumers will impact spending trends for the foreseeable future. Understanding the nuances of this divide will be critically important as the world now moves through heightened inflationary pressures, geopolitical tensions, and the enduring mindset that disruption is endemic to life as we know it. To stay ahead, these are the five groups redefining the spectrum of shopping behaviours in 2022:

23% Strugglers
21% Rebounders
38% Cautious
12% Unchanged
6% Thrivers

2:00 PM - 2:30 PM | Economic Outlook: As Pandemic Disruptions Fade, New Challenges Emerge

Speaker:

The lifting of restrictions was supposed to clear the path for our economy. But soaring inflation is complicating matters. Hear what RBC Assistant Chief Economist Robert Hogue expects from interest rates and how they’ll impact Canada’s recovery.

2:30 PM - 2:55 PM | Networking Break

3:00 PM - 3: 45 PM | Being Bold: Controlling Your Destiny and Future Proofing Your Business
